Eastern Ontario Development Program Supports Skills Training for Regional Manufacturers
Peterborough Economic Development and the Kawartha Manufacturers’ Association are pleased to announce over $48,000 in training funds for manufacturing businesses in the region.
- New Twenty20 Pilot Program for Eastern Ontario Manufacturing Sectors This new pilot program is investing approximately $1.4M in the next generation of young, primarily women, STEM and technical skilled trades graduates. It is an advanced manufacturing sector employer job creation grant that will help ensure competitive access to and retention of young talent.
- Youth Skills Connections: CNC Machinists and ‘Open Doors’ Program The consortium will develop and run a 26-week training program focused on entry-level Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machinists.
